Butler Amusements Awarded Contracts for Evergreen State Fair and Alameda State Fair
Butler Amusements has been awarded a new 5 year contract with a 5 year option at the Evergreen State Fair in Monroe, Washington starting in 2011. The Evergreen State Fair is one of the largest fairs serviced by Butler Amusements. The 2010 fair dates are August 26 to September 6.
The Alameda County fair board, at its meeting Tuesday, March 9, unanimously approved a new 3 year contract with a 2 year option with Butler Amusements to provide the carnival for their fair which is scheduled for June 23 to July 11, 2010.

Butler Amusements Awarded 3-Year Contract for San Mateo County Fair
Butler Amusements, Inc. has been awarded a 3 year contract with 2 year option to provide the carnival at the San Mateo County Fair in San Mateo, California. 2010 fair dates are June 12-20.
Butler Amusements provides the carnival for two of the top 50 fairs in North America- According to Venues Today December 2009 edition where the top 50 Fairs in North America are ranked. Butler provides the carnival at the 26th largest fair, the Evergreen State Fair in Monroe, Washington and the 27th largest fair, the California State Fair & Exposition in Sacramento, CA

Butler Awarded Blue Ribbon Award by Alameda County Fair
Alameda County Fair in Pleasanton, CA has awarded Butler Amusements, Inc. the 2008 WFA Blue Ribbon Award. The award was presented to Earl “Butch” Butler, President of Butler Amusements, Kelley Butler, Lance and Jill Moyer, each of whom act as company managers.
The presentation took place at the Fairgrounds’ Palm Pavilion during the Annual Directors Blue Ribbon Awards Dinner on October 23,2008. The Western Fairs’ Association Blue Ribbon Award is presented to individuals, businesses and organizations in recognition of their outstanding and sustained support to the Alameda County Fair and the non profit Fair Association. “The Board members chose Butler Amusements because of it’s partnership with the Fair for providing an outstanding family oriented carnival as well as the Read and Ride program,” stated Judy Carrico, Fair Operations Manager.
Butler has been the carnival contract holder at the Alameda County fair for the past 10 years and has supported the Read and Ride program which provides reading literacy rewards for over 600 elementary school age children in Alameda County.

Butler Amusements Excited to Announce Four New Events in 2009
Butler Amusements is excited to announce four new events for its 2009 season:
Butler Amusements is proud to be returning as the carnival provider for the Curry County Fair in Gold Beach, Oregon. Butler had previously worked with the fair in the 1980’s and early 1990’s.
The Porterville Fair was a new addition to the schedule in 2008. Outstanding success was achieved by increasing on-site ride gross by 174% compared to 2007. “A bright new look coupled with many new rides were primary reasons for the publics enthusiastic response, “ said Butler CEO Earl “Butch” Butler.
The Garden Grove Strawberry Festival is one of the nation’s premier festivals. Butler was awarded the contract to serve as the carnival provider starting in 2009. The Garden Grove Strawberry Festival, held over Memorial Day weekend, will celebrate its 51st festival in 2009.
Butler will now be providing the midway at one of southwest's major festivals, the Chandler Ostrich Festival in Chandler, AZ. This unique festival holds Ostrich races and has live musical performances.

Butler Amusements is recognized with the Circle of Excellence Designation by the Outdoor Amusement Business Association (OABA)
Butler Amusements is proud to be recognized with the Circle of Excellence Designation by the Outdoor Amusement Business Association (OABA). The presentation was made at the International Association of Fairs and Exposition (IAFE) Convention held in Las Vegas on November 30,2005. Butler Amusements is one of only two carnivals operating in California who have achieved this distinction. The forty-year old Outdoor Amusement Business Associates organization encourages the growth and preservation of the outdoor amusement industry through leadership, legislation, education and membership services. Its Circle of Excellence Award is presented each year as part of OABA's Foundation for the Future program. Honorees are audited by independent auditors in the areas of ride operations, personnel, game concessions, food service and transportation. Those members whose audit scores are in the top percentile achieve the recognition in the OABA's Circle of Excellence.
