Safety is critically important to Butler Amusements. Listed below are just a few of the ways that we ensure the safety of our guests and our staff.

EMPLOYEE TRAINING:
An employee must be specifically trained to operate each ride. A Training Checklist is completed for each ride that an employee will operate. This checklist documents the fact that the employee has been properly trained. The form is signed by the employee indicating they have read and understand all safety information pertaining to that specific ride. Employees are also required to watch safety training videos pertaining to safe ride operation.

RIDE INSPECTIONS
Each day before the carnival opens, each ride is inspected by one of our ride foremen. Our highly experienced ride foremen fill out Daily Ride Inspection Reports, specific to each carnival ride, and then turn them into the maintenance department. The carnival manager reviews the inspection sheets and is responsible for addressing any issues that require correction. This process is also followed for weekly, monthly, bi-annual, and annual inspections.

The carnival office contains manuals for each ride, as well as, binders for each ride, which contain all Daily Inspection Reports, Operator's Daily Logs, Manufacturer Bulletins, and any work orders.

All Butler Amusements, Inc. rides are inspected and certified.

CERTIFIED RIDE INSPECTORS
Butler Amusements, Inc. is proud of its safety record and we encourage our employees to continue to advance their knowledge through on-going education. Several of our key employees have obtained ride inspector certifications from the National Association of Amusement Ride Safety Officials (N.A.A.R.S.O.). Other employees have increased their knowledge by participating in industry safety seminars.

OUTSIDE INSPECTIONS
In addition to our own thorough, in-house ride inspections, our equipment is also regularly inspected by several outside agencies and companies. In California, we're inspected by the California Division of Occupational Safety and Health and the California Fair Service Authority. In Oregon and Washington by state-certified ride inspectors, and in Washigton and Idaho by state electrical inspectors. All of our games and food concessions comply with all federal, state and local laws and ordinances. This is in addition to inspections performed by our insurance comapnies and by indepedent ride ispectors hired either by Butler Amusements or by the fairs. Game concessions on the midway comply with P.C. 334 regulation, and all food stands are permitted by the local Department of Health.
